Delhi Public School is one of the most prestigious schools in Orissa. It was built on an area of 28 acres. It is built with a concept where kindergarten, junior, middle and senior schools are in different blocks having separate courtyards. In the middle are the administrative block and an open auditorium which is landscaped to merge with the school. There is a huge library, music and drama classes. There is a huge double storey canteen at one end that caters snacks and meals to children. There is a gymnasium with an Olympic size swimming pool. They have a separate pool for junior children. The sports facilities include lawn tennis court, basket ball court and a football field. The hostel facilities for boys and girls are separate. There are staff quarters and a principal’s villa. There is also a Sikhaya Kendra where the underprivileged children are given free education. The interior of the school is comparable to any five star hotel. The architect of this school, Mr. Lalit Maganlal, has given excellent designs with the latest materials and modern design that have become an example to the young architects to study for their Thesis.
